Williams Intestinal Forceps
  • The William intestinal and tissue grasping forceps is a surgical instrument used in gynecological surgeries such as dilatation and curettage to manipulate the sponge while swabbing the inside of the uterus through the cervix, during intestinal resection to hold delicate, viable intestinal tissue with minimal trauma and to manipulate the dressing and sponges during general surgery. The instrument has a ratchet lock that has an overall length of 16.5 cm and straight blades ending in fenestrated ends with irregular edges to improve grip while still minimizing damage to tissues.
