Description
Stevens Tenotomy Hook Titanium
- Stevens Tenotomy Hook is a surgical instrument utilized by ophthalmic surgeons to perform the Tenotomy procedure. This device features a flat handle with a slim shaft and a blunted hook tip. The blunted tip profile enables the surgeon to expose the tendinous insertion of the selected eye muscle for an effective detachment during Tenotomy, followed by reattaching the muscle to the eyeball at the correct spot; as a result, the involuntary eye movements caused by pathologies as nystagmus are dampened or lessened.
