The Collingwood-Stewart Hernia Ring forceps are used to grasp and secure the hernia sac during herniotomy, hernioplasty, and herniorrhaphy procedures. The surgeon isolates the hernia sac and then secures the Collingwood-Stewart Hernia Ring Forceps around it to manipulate its contents, reduce and repair it. The instrument is a ratcheted forceps with an overall length of 13 cm, two hemispherical blades attached to finger rings that enclose around the hernia swelling.
