- The Tungsten Carbide Metzenbaum Dissecting Scissors are most commonly used for dissecting and cutting tissue. These scissors are not recommended for cutting sutures, drains, or heavy tissue. Metzenbaum scissors tend to be shorter than traditional Metzenbaum scissors. Hand-crafted in Pakistan, One blade has a Tungsten Carbide insert instead another one has micro serration instruments forged from the highest quality Japanese steel and provides reliable instrumentation for the operating room and other surgical centers. They are designed to stay sharp for a significantly longer time than other standard instruments. ScissorOn permanently bonds tungsten carbide inserts to the instrument, which maximizes control and precision.
