Description
Kelly Retractor
- The Kelly Retractor is used for the retraction of wound edges in general surgery procedures. It has a hollow handle with anterior ridges to accommodate the fingers and to offer more confident grips. The long blade is at a right-angle curvature from the neck. The body of the blade is slightly depressed and ends with a crescent-shaped and slightly curved lip. This lip holds onto the retracted tissues and offers reliable retractions. The overall length of the retractor is 25.5 cm, and several blade sizes are available to accommodate different surgical procedures.
